JOE COBB CRAWFORD is a licensed professional electrical engineer with a passion for story telling. He has a Master of Science degree in engineering from The University of Tennessee. A native of Southern Appalachia, he honed his writing skills by attending the Iowa Summer Writing Festival and two writers groups located in Clarkesville and Toccoa, Georgia. The Blue Ridge Mountains are the setting and material source for all five of his books and include: The Poetry Company: Memoirs of a Chicken Catcher, When The Chickens Come Home To Roost, Mountain Shadow Memories, Have Books, Will Travel, and What The Bookman Saw. He resides on Lake Hartwell in northeast Georgia, with his wife of forty-eight years, Susan, a retired teacher and principal.
